Golf, one of my favourite topics to shoot.
Nice food, happy people, and free sun make me a pretty happy boy.

The money's good too. I can't complain about that.
Job done. I realised at the end of the day, it is not the techniques, the light or the camera that matters.

It is what piece of history one is recording. Thats news photography.

My biggest job turned out to be the simplest. I had to slog years and years so I can do snap shots of big CEOs. and paid well.

I am pretty excited. Next day could be the biggest day so far.

Perhaps not in terms of satisfaction, but certainly one that keep the finances healthy.

Big job big job. Stefen, you can do it.
Do this well and trail blaze the rest of them ....

Gambate!

Taken 2 nights ago.

I love parties.
Especially when adults go wild and you kinda forget their day professions.

When I photograph this, lots of thoughts went through my mind, and the camera acts as a shield between contemplation and reality.  You witness the fun but not engage in it. You become part of the party but the music seems more distant.

I wondered if they are really having fun. Or are they just venting out their daily struggles with work onto the dance floor.

The call came. from overseas, and totally random.

The deal could well be worth my years rental.

I just had to say yes.

The brief was simple. creative. small budget. heritage. sense of place.

Dug through my closet, got the flag from a national day parade, stuck it into this Japanese dude's hands.

Refused to do the simple corporate shot.

I did a recent shoot for my good friends, and I don't normally do weddings cos the hours are long and the money so-so.

But a wedding shoot for close friends? Priceless.

It was cool they decided to have part of the celebration in a Chinese temple.

I love the zen and everyone was pretty charmed by this particular moment that day. I was glad to be witness to this. I guess thats what attracted me to photography in the first place.

My virgin post

Hiya,

am new here. It feels strange cos I don't read blogs.

I created one because I saw a beautiful blog, one that entails the struggles before mild triumph at the end. It is good to record those thoughts, those uncertainties so that when you look back, you realise that you were not invulnerable or things were any easier what you thought before.

It was really one hard journey, one that entails some sweat and discomfort.

It makes us appreciate life a little more.
